Our Vision

DoctoraStories was founded on the belief that storytelling has the power to spark change. Sarah, a producer and academic, brings her background in human rights and gender research to the film industry, ensuring that marginalized voices are heard. From her fieldwork with the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo to co-producing Ferguson Rising, her vision is rooted in truth, justice, and connection. DoctoraStories is a space for filmmakers, activists, and artists to collaborate, creating films that challenge perspectives and honor lived experiences.

Now screening at film festivals, colleges and universities, Norita explores activism, dictatorship, and women’s rights through the life of Nora Cortiñas, a founding member of the Madres de Plaza de Mayo, Línea Fundadora. The film has received widespread acclaim, earning multiple awards and resonating deeply with audiences. Norita encourages conversations about the power of collective resistance against tyranny. Her legacy continues to inspire a new generation fighting for justice.
